Aluminum Alloy Grain Size Analysis

Problem solved:
The solution performs determination of grain size distribution parameters on the polished sections of aluminum cast alloys, etched for macrograin eduction. Structure type is "mosaic": grains with different brightness do completely fill the image, the grain boundaries are determined by essential brightness changes.

Solution:
The solution includes automatic reconstruction of grain boundaries network and analysis of individual grains, determination of  area fractions occupied by macrograins of different grades, building grain size distribution histogram, and report generation. 

Determined parameters:
For every field and every zone the grain size parameters are determined by any arbitrary number of view fields (images).

A report is generated, containing measurement results for every field and accumulation results for all fields.
